The Beauty of Xinjiang

Xinjiang, an autonomous region of China, is located in the northwest of the country. It shares 1/6 of the land of China (about three times of France). The population includes Uighur, Han, Kazakh and other minority groups. Many people may hear the name of Xinjiang but probably know little about it,  needless to say visiting in person. This is particularly true to most foreigners as Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong are probably all they know about China.

In September, 2010, I was lucky to have a chance to visit and photograph the autumn colours in northern Xinjiang. The local scenery was absolutely amazing and I still cannot believe it was real even with my own photographs displaying on computer screen right now. Ten years passed by, the blooming development of Xinjiang surprises me once again although this isn’t related to photography anymore. Apparently the living standard of Xinjiang has gone up a huge step and people live even more merrier.

I have recently revisited my photographs taken in Xinjiang and decided to revise them once again. As a result, I produced this e-book and want to share with you what I saw a decade ago. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I do.
